Dr. Rami Sherif

Hailing from Buffalo, New York, Dr. Rami Sherif graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Mathematics. Dr. Sherif developed an early interest in Plastic Surgery, leading him to spend three years working in a Plastic Surgery research laboratory at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia during college. His work led to several presentations in national conferences as well as induction into the University Scholars program, which recognized the top undergraduate researchers at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sherif subsequently attended medical school in Manhattan at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, one of the country’s best medical schools. Dr. Sherif then matched into the 6-year integrated Plastic Surgery residency program at the University of Michigan, widely considered to be one of the foremost training programs in the specialty. While in Michigan, Dr. Sherif trained extensively in the entire breadth of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery gaining expertise in breast reconstruction, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, complex microsurgical reconstruction, and head-to-toe aesthetic rejuvenation. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Sherif has actively pursued research interests in the field. With dozens of publications and textbook chapters, Dr. Sherif has contributed extensively to the leading journals in the specialty, and he has had the honor of presenting at several national conferences. 

Finally, Dr. Sherif completed the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at the elite Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute (DPSI), the top Aesthetic Fellowship in the country, where he trained with the world experts in facial, breast, and body aesthetics. As the most formative year of training, Dr. Sherif's time at DPSI provided him with the most advanced techniques and tools to perform head-to-toe aesthetic surgery at the highest level. 

After his fellowship, Dr. Sherif was offered to join Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute for his full time practice, an honor given to very few surgeons. DPSI is one of the largest and most well-established plastic surgery practices in the USA. When not at work, Dr. Sherif devotes all his free time to his wonderful wife and three beautiful children.
